MOBILSE at 8th World One Health Congress in Cape Town

In September, the 8th World One Health Congress took place in Cape Town, South Africa (http://globalohc.org/8WOHC), bringing together over 1,400 participants from 87 countries. The event featured 70 sessions, 400 speakers, and 600 scientific posters.

Lisa Winkelmayer, our project partner from the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), presented the poster “Integration of a One Health Mobile Laboratory in Austria for Rapid Outbreak Management.” This work, developed under MOBILISE, highlights how the mobile lab could support the country’s ability to respond swiftly to emerging infectious diseases, including West Nile Virus (WNV) and Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus (CCHFV). T

The mobile lab is designed for the diagnosis of high-risk pathogens (risk groups 3/4) and incorporates decision support systems to facilitate rapid outbreak response.

The congress was an invaluable opportunity to share our initiative with the global One Health community and foster international collaboration.
